Choosing best-fit colleges and universities from over 4,000 options in the U.S. can be a daunting process. G2C provides two package options that guide students and parents in the selection of colleges based on academic, social, geographic, and financial fit.
College Search & Selection
Comprehensive guidance to identify, research, and select schools that align with student and parent goals and needs.
Included in this package:
• Assess academic progress and discuss course planning and standardized testing/test optional plans
• Evaluate extracurricular activities and consider opportunities for growth and development
• Consider and identify college selection factors of significance to the student and the parent(s)/ guardian(s)
• Convey best practices for researching potential schools and demonstrating interest, including discussion on ways to utilize the included Google Drive Resources and CustomCollegePlan portal (noted below)
• Discuss financial considerations and options for aid
• Review important timelines in the college planning process
• Identify potential Reach, Target, and Likely schools based on academic and extracurricular profile, while incorporating other relevant factors
• Research 3-5 colleges per week and discuss each to determine fit
• Narrow down options to a final, well-balanced list of appropriate length for the student
• Discuss and evaluate the various application types/options (EA, REA, ED/ED II, RD, Rolling)
• Includes Google Drive folder with proprietary Activities/Honors/Testing tracking spreadsheet and helpful information, guidelines, and tips on a variety of college planning topics
• Includes interactive CustomCollegePlan portal for parents and students with extensive college information and research resources, task management, and application tracking features
This package includes approximately 8-10 meetings of varying length with Kate Pedigo and 5-7 hours of consultant research, development of recommendations, and creation of personalized portal notes. Also includes monthly high school/college planning updates via email.
College Search Jumpstart
Ideal for families that want assistance creating an initial larger list of schools to research and would like access to college planning/research resources, but prefer to manage the rest of the college selection process on their own.
Included in this package:
• Assess academic progress and discuss course planning and standardized testing/test optional plans

• Consider and identify college selection factors of significance to the student and the parent(s)/ guardian(s)

• Convey best practices for researching potential schools, including discussion on ways to utilize the included Google Drive Resources and CustomCollegePlan portal (noted below)

• Create a curated list of potential Reach, Target, and Likely schools (minimum 20 schools) based on academic and extracurricular profile, as well as the college selection factors of significance to the family

• Discuss highlights of each school and reasons for selection
• Includes Google Drive folder with proprietary Activities/Honors/Testing tracking spreadsheet, as well as helpful information, guidelines, and tips on a wide variety of college planning topics

• Includes interactive CustomCollegePlan portal for parents and students with extensive college information and research resources, task management, and application tracking features

This package includes approximately two hours of meeting time with Kate Pedigo and three to four hours of consultant research and development of curated college list and personalized portal notes. Also includes monthly high school/college planning updates via email.
